You can fall in love any number of times

Lately, I’ve been seeing many posts on instagram that say you can only fall in love 3 times. They give 3 different explanations for each of the 3 people whom you can fall for, according to them.

So, I just wanted to tell you my opinion on this concept.

I believe that you can fall in love any number of times. So, for those who have seen these kind of posts know what I’m referring to and for those who haven’t, I’m gonna tell in italic font that what was written in those posts.

The first explanation they give is of the first love. The post says that your first love happens at a very young age and it breaks over silly things and then you don’t consider it love but it was love. And they say that this love happens only to make you realize what love is and etc etc.

So my take on this is that first of all, it’s not necessary that your first love will happen at a very young age, and secondly, it’s not necessary that your first love will break. I’ve seen relationships that started at a very young age and one of the partner says that it’s his or her first love, and they end up marrying each other. Thirdly, you just know when you’re in love. There’s no element of doubt in that.

The second explaination that was given there was for the second love, and it said that this love is hard, you get hurt in this one and you get to know about the right and wrong people. It says that this love teaches you a lesson and makes you know what you want and what you don’t want etc etc.

Okay so in this one, first of all, any love can hurt you, it’s not that you will only get hurt in the second love. Secondly, you know what you want. You don’t need to fall in love to teach you that. Infact love changes your needs sometimes.

For instance, we all have a picture in mind of our dream partner. We all want a certain type of partner but that doesn’t mean that you will fall in love with the exact same person you dreamt of. Sometimes you fall in love with people who are different than your dream partner, who have different qualities than your dream partner. Because love just happens. It doesn’t give you time to think. And when you’re in love, you just want that person whether they’re the same as your dream partner or not. You don’t even match that person with your dream partner. You just want them as they’re are. You don’t wanna change them. You love them even if they’re not having the qualities that you always wanted in a person.

Now, the third and the last explanation written in those posts were about the third love and the last love, according to them. It is written that this love comes to you blindly, you don’t go looking for this kind of love. And that you want marriage and family with this love etc etc.

Let me explain this one now. Firstly, love always comes to you blindly, it doesn’t knock on your door. It doesn’t ask for permission. It’s not only in the case of the third love, and you never go looking for any kind of love, love just happens. Now, the worst thing that is written in these posts is that you want marriage and family only with the third person whom you fall for. How can this be true?! If you are in love, you will want marriage and family, it’s not that you won’t want marriage and family with your first and second love. You will want that everytime you fall in love.

So now, let me conclude this all for you. It’s not that you can fall in love only 3 times. Love can happen to you any number of times. Each love is different in it’s own way but many things and feelings are similar, that’s why you call it love everytime.
