Zindagi sabko doosra mauka nahi deti.

“I love you”, said Allie. “I love you too”, Aashay responded.

It was a cold winter night and the clock was showing 01.00 AM. Allie asked Aashay to sleep.

“I’ll sleep later. You go to sleep.” He said and hung up the call.

They used to talk all day and night. But their conversations started growing shorter and shorter day by day.

He told her that he is busy. She saw him online on social media but still she never doubted him and thought that maybe he got 5 minutes free and he is scrolling his social media. She always agreed with what he told her.

She texted him “good morning” and “good night” daily but he didn’t even bother to read her messages.

He showed Allie’s messages to his friends and all of them made fun of her because she loved Aashay way too much.

He never cared about her. He always made fun of her in front of his friends and had a good laugh.

It was Valentine’s week. 14th February was just 2 days away.

Allie wanted to plan something big to surprise his boyfriend, Aashay.

She dialed one his friend’s number, Aarav. She told him to bring Aashay at green cafe on 14th Feb.

She prepared a lot. She bought a ring for him, to propose him. She was very excited and happy for the day.

She reached the cafe. Aashay and Aarav were already there.

Aashay and Allie hugged.

She had it all prepared. The cafe’s lights went dim and some music started playing. She went on her knees and pulled out the ring to propose him.

“I love you Aashay. I love you more than anything else.”

“But Allie. I’m not ready for a commitment.”

He told Allie that he isn’t ready for a serious relationship and he doesn’t want commitment.

Allie was broken. She ran away crying.

“Oh dude. She proposed you man. You were right, she is madly in love with you.” said Aarav.

I know right” said Aashay.

They both started laughing.

Aashay never cared for Allie. She loved him more than anything else but Aashay never took that seriously.

One day Aashay just completely left Allie. He said that the relationship isn’t working and told her never to text him again.

Aashay’s brother was the only person who always told him that what he is doing is wrong but Aashay never seemed to listen.

“You won’t find any girl like her. This generation is filled with heartless people. You won’t find any girl like her. She really loves you. Don’t let her go.” said Aashay’s brother.

“No bro. I will find many girls like her. She isn’t special. I don’t wanna hear anything now.” said Aashay and he left.

At Allie’s place:

Allie was devastated.

She was very much depressed and one day she gave up and overdosed on sleeping pills and commited suicide.

When Aashay got to know about this news he called his friends and told them very proudly that Allie died for him.

“This girl died for me, she loved me that much that she ended her life for me.”

He and his friends had a good laugh.

Years passed…..

Aashay always said that he would find other girls like her.

But he was starting to realise that he was wrong.

He never found a girl that loved him like Allie did. Not even a girl who loved him just 50% like Allie. Because Allie always kept Aashay as her number one priority. She loved him more than she loved herself.

Aashay realized his mistake but there was nothing he could do now as Allie was not alive anymore.

He looked at her photo and cried and cried and cried.

His brother came and saw him looking at Allie’s photo and crying.

He hugged Aashay and said,

“Mene terko kaha tha na ki zindagi sabko doosra mauka nahi deti hai, aur pyaar mein to kisi ko nahi.”

English translation:

“I told you that life doesn’t give second chances to everyone, and in love, it gives second chances to no one.”
